This is Fiberglass and metal sculptural piece, the title of the piece is called owanbe and it explore the elegance of yoruba women during the popular Nigerian party called Owambe. The major idea behind this piece is to celebrate Yoruba women strong relationship bond, which is publicly see in them show up for each other in everything. To me owambe is not all about parties, it is about showing up for each other.
